One of our favorite spot to hang out is in the car. I think it mainly stems from us living on the road for six months before we settled into Rochester, New York. That, and all the road trips we have done together. During long trips, we would pause somewhere and just be. He would be thrilled with being able to move around instead of being strapped in and I would relish the chance to curl up and take my eyes off the road. In those moments, Henry loved to climb over the arm rest between our front seats and sit there. This is something he still likes to do and I have a collection of Henry in that spot.
Today, after a lovely brunch with our friend and some errands. We parked back at home and Henry came over to his spot. We had a brief conversation and it was in that instance where I couldn't believe at how much he has grown yet his essence remains the same.
One of the earliest car series portrait of Henry.
and here he is... Today.
Sometimes, the growth strikes you as a leap and you wonder where has the time gone?
